Finding The Right People

When it comes to Ad Hoc Committees, there is no such reality or question as to who are the RIGHT PEOPLE. The RIGHT PEOPLE are the ones that DO, and the WRONG PEOPLE are the ones that DO NOT. The RIGHT PEOPLE will help you or aid your personal or Committee's growth and development.

The WRONG PEOPLE can not, will not and DO NOT. However, finding the RIGHT PEOPLE is not an easy task. If it were, we would all be living in paradise on earth for real. In this blog post, we will discuss:

1. What Have Done By Forming An Ad Hoc Committee
2. How To Get Community Participation
3. Bayne Street's First Prototype Flyer

What Have You Done?

When you form an Ad Hoc Committee, you have automatically created a community action team. Depending on how you choose to use your Committee, you can accomplish a variety of different objectives. If you choose supplemental income; like we have done at Bayne Street, then, your activities should be designed to increase your earning capacity without interferring with Committee member's current source of income. By using your Committee to find supplemental income sources, your entire neighborhood can benefit. Participating members can increase their family's income without leaving their present occupations, and in some cases without leaving home.

Surely, you must know people in your family or community that are tired of being in debt, need additional income, want to have a better lifestyle for themselves and their families or find ways to cope with the rising cost of fuel and other necessities? Your Ad Hoc Committee can help these people. An Ad Hoc Committee can work with anyone that has a sincere and honest desire to improve a specific condition.

Using an Ad Hoc Committee to initiate a neighborhood or supplemental income project that will help your neighbors and community is different from any other format or concept you have been exposed to. Not only is this concept duplicatable,
it can plug-in into other neighborhoods, community organizations, businesses, churches and anything else your Committee decides to investigate, improve or join as a single unit.
  • Your objective is to help like-minded others that need additional income plug into the system you have developed or solve community problems you have discovered.
  • Your workable method is opening your mouth and talking to people that have a similar interest or the same mind-set.
  • Your simple strategy is sharing information with as many like-minded others in your community as possible.
  • Your purpose for engaging in this activity is to solve a persistent community problem, achieve a specific objective or whatever else you decide by building a team of committed like-minded others. This program format helps you and it helps others.
By assembling an Ad Hoc Committee, you are developing a Collective Enterprise; which is the fastest and the most cost effective method by which human beings can succeed in worthwhile endeavors in the shortest possible period of time.

Any
Collective Enterprise is a group of like-minded people working together for a common cause, to reach a common goal, improve a specific condition or change a situation for the better. The entire universe is essentially a Collective Enterprise. This planet we live on, nature, the vast majority of the people in any nation, state, or province have formed all kinds of Collective Enterprises.

From governments to scouting, and everything you can think of in between as well as our bodies are essentially Collective Enterprises. A Collective Enterprise increases its efficiency, proficiency and potentcy when it's organized, properly managed, directed and focused. An organized Collective Enterprise always works better and is more productive than individual effort.

The bottom line is Collective Enterprises work and it will work for your Ad Hoc Committee.
All you have to do is invite like-minded people to participate. The only people you want to invite to your meetings are people that have expressed an interest in achieving similar goals and objectives. If you can open your mouth and talk, and put forth persistent and determined effort, your Committee will grow and succeed. The more like-minded people you talk to or people that need or want to improve their individual or collective circumstances or condition the faster you grow.

How To Get Community Participation

The absolute best way to get community participation and increase the size of your Committee is by talking to people in your neighborhood. In the event, you live in a community or neighborhood where people or isolated in enclaves to themselves, then a simple flyer will do. It is also best to name your Ad Hoc Committee after the street you live on or the subdivision you live in. This creates instant recognition and commonality.

Your flyer can be simple or sophisticated. However, the simpler, the better. Your flyer must state your purpose for being and how community residents can benefit by participating. Use the following as an example or develop your own.

When you develop your Ad Hoc Committee, understand there is absolutely no selling, arm twisting, misrepresentation of facts or enticement. You and your Committee members must conduct yourselves with integrity and honesty. This is essential for your credibility and the credibility of your Committee. You want your Committee to succeed, because success means duplication and expansion. Failure is not an option.

It is vitally important that the means, methods, programs and/or companies you use to increase income are based in your country. This is important for legality. You want your actions and activities to comply and conform to the spirit and the letter of the law. It is also important that you choose worthwhile and attainable goals if you are involved in a community improvement project.

If you follow these simple precepts, concepts, principles and procedures, you will have a prosperous group and your neighbors will thank you for it. When it comes to Bayne Street, the RIGHT PEOPLE are those individual families that want to increase their income or save more money to cope with rising living expenses. It is for this purpose (Ad Hoc) that we began to organize ourselves.
